Every photo on this post means something special for R + A wedding day.

Andrew and Robin threw one of the most unforgettable weddings I’ve ever had the honor of documenting.

It was the very first wedding ever hosted by the Wave Hotel in Lake Nona, but they didn’t stop there. In true R + A fashion, they took it one step further and chose to say their vows in the parking lot — completely transforming the space into something personal, with personal items displayed explaining their story together, bold, intentional, and absolutely beautiful. It was creative, and so them.

This was one of two weddings they had. The second was in the Netherlands, where they celebrated with their families overseas. Guests flew in from all corners of the world to witness something truly unique. The whole day felt like a celebration of not just their love, but of family, adventure, and doing things your own way.

every time I revisit these photos, it reminds me how grateful I am for couples who lead with heart, courage, and joy.

You need a confirmed location to put on the card (and help guests plan their travel!).

Sounds obvious, but double-check it’s 100% locked in before anything goes out.
4. Your Wedding Website
Even if it’s simple at first, it’s helpful to have a site ready with basic info for guests.
5. Hotel Blocks or Travel Info
If a lot of guests are coming from out of town, you’ll want to have accommodations ready to recommend.
6. The Style and Tone of Your Wedding
Formal, casual, destination, themed? Save-the-dates set the first impression.
7. Correct Spelling of Names and Addresses
Triple-check guest names and mailing addresses. (You don’t want save-the-dates ending up at the wrong house!)

Extra Tip:
Book your photographer early too! The good ones are always booked months (even a year) in advance — don’t wait until it’s too late.

Finalize these first and you’ll avoid last-minute stress later!

7. Assign Someone to Handle Your Belongings
You don’t want to worry about your phone, wallet, or jacket during the day.
8. Be On Time (Seriously)
The whole day flows better when the groom isn’t scrambling last-minute.

From the moment I arrived, you could just feel the excitement in the air — the kind of energy that only happens when two amazing people bring all their favorite people together in one place.

Ashley and Connor truly made their wedding their own in every way. From the meaningful little details to the way they were fully present with their friends and family, everything felt personal, effortless, and full of life.
One of my favorite memories? When they asked me to capture their guests rocking sunglasses — it instantly turned into this fun, laid-back moment that felt so authentically them.

It’s these little memories that remind me why I love doing what I do. Capturing the real emotions, the genuine laughs, the way your best people show up for you — those are the moments that will matter for decades.
